Can I Buy HDB Resale Flat After Selling Private Property? (After 30 Sep 2022)
In line with the property cooling measures introduced on September 30, 2022, private residential property owners (PPOs) and ex-PPOs must observe a 15-month waiting period after selling their private properties before becoming eligible to purchase a non-subsidized resale flat. This measure is intended to temporarily balance the demand for resale flats.
However, to facilitate seniors in their right-sizing efforts to improve retirement security, individuals aged 55 and above, along with their spouses, are exempt from the 15-month wait-out period if they are transitioning to a 4-room or smaller resale flat.
